Humble Beginnings
Computers & Electronic Technology (A Division of CET Enterprises) was founded by Cordell E. Thomas, a native of Birmingham, Alabama . Prior to starting his own business, Mr. Thomas spent several years in the corporate arena working on various accounting projects. He endured many transfers and layoffs due to a sluggish economy. These unfortunate circumstances coupled with the determination to maintain his household fueled his entrepreneurial spirit. While working for an accounting firm, he stumbled across truckloads of discarded computer and electronic equipment which appeared to be in good working condition. He considered the discarding process wasteful and wondered why the items were not auctioned off or sold to the public.  Curiosity lead him to inquire about the merchandise, which he later purchased with most of his savings.
 
Vision
Purchasing the merchandise was a huge risk for Mr. Thomas. He had no store front, no financial backing, and no clear cut plan. Yet he had the belief, determination, and desire to offer affordable computer and electronic equipment to individuals living in a high tech society. In 2005 he began selling his merchandise to acquaintances, local business owners, and anyone who needed it. In just one short year his vision proved to be quite lucrative. And, by mid-2006, the small-town computers and electronics repair store  "Computers & Electronic Technology" was formed.
 
 
Today, Computers & Electronic Technology, located in Hueytown, Alabama has expanded to include online services through its CET Enterprises sector while maintaining its small-town business appearance. We offer consumers a wide variety of new and used computer products from brand name manufacturers such as: Gateway, Toshiba, Hewlett Packard, Compaq, Intel, IBM etc.; and, electronics: Nintendo Wii, Playstation, XBox and much more. Additionally, consumers have the option of purchasing the latest cell phone styles while taking advantage of unbeatable cell phone plans through AT & T, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile & Verizon. In accordance with our reputation for going above and beyond for our customers,  in home / in store computer servicing is also available for individuals living in the greater Birmingham area.
